MAC Mail
1. Click the Mail icon located in the dock at the bottom of the screen. The Mail icon looks like a postage stamp.
2. Click the Mail menu in the top left of the menu bar and then click Preferences. The main Mail Preferences window should appear - here you can change, adding, editing and deleting e-mail accounts.
3. Click the Create Account button. In later versions of Mail, this button says Add Account.
4. In the Account Information window complete the following:
Account Type: Select POP Account
Description: Type in something to remind you in the future that these are your calwisp e-mail settings. e.g. calwisp or your e-mail address
E-mail Address: Type in your full calwisp e-mail address. ( username@calwisp.com)
Full Name: Type in the name that you want to appear on all of the e-mails that you send.
Host name or Incoming Mail Server: Type mail.calwisp.com
User Name: Type in your full calwisp email address. ( username@calwisp.com )
Password: Type in your e-mail address password
5. If you're using an earlier version of Mac Mail, and you can see the SMTP Host or Outgoing Mail Server field, type mail.calwisp.com and leave the other two fields blank.
6. If you're using one of the later versions of Mail, click Options... to find the SMTP server settings. Here you need to type in mail.calwisp.com in the SMTP Host or Outgoing Mail Server field and click OK to exit.

Open Apple Mail
Click Mail and select Preferences
Open the Accounts tab and click the plus sign (+) along the bottom to add a new account
Select POP in the Account Type drop-down menu
Type your name and full e-mail address (yoursuggestion@calwisp.com)
Click Continue
In the Incoming Mail Server field, type mail.calwisp.com
In the User name field, type your full e-mail address (yoursuggestion@calwisp.com) lower case
In the Password field, type your password
Click Continue
In the Outgoing Mail Server field, type mail.calwisp.com
Check the Use Authentication box
In the User name field, type your full e-mail address (yoursuggestion@calwisp.com) lower case
In the Password field, type your password
Click Continue

Open Apple Mail
NOTE: If this is the first time you have setup Mail you will be prompted to setup a new Mail account. Do so now by following the screens below. If you have already setup an account in Mail once before and wish to setup your e-mail account, simply go to File > Add Account and follow the same procedure outlined below
Select POP in the Account Type drop-down menu
Enter a name for your account ( as "My Office Account" or "Home Account")
Type your name and full e-mail address (yoursuggestion@calwisp.com)
Click Continue
In the Incoming Mail Server field, type mail.calwisp.com
In the User name field, type your full e-mail address (yoursuggestion@calwisp.com) lower case
In the Password field, type your password
Click Continue
Leave Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) unchecked
For Authentication select Password
Click Continue
In the Outgoing Mail Server field, type mail.calwisp.com
Check the Use Authentication box.
In the User name field, type your full e-mail address (yoursuggestion@calwisp.com) lower case
In the Password field, type your password
Click Continue
Leave Use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) unchecked
Click Continue
Under Account Summary click Continue
Click Done
