    Configuring E-mail - Thunderbird

    Click on the Tools menu and select "Account Settings"
    Click the Add Account button at bottom left to open the "New Account Setup" dialog, then select "Email account" from the list and click the Next button
    In the Your Name field, type your name
    In the Email Address field, type your full email address (yoursuggestions@calwisp.com). All lower case
    In the "Server Information" window, select "POP" then enter mail.calwisp.com for the incoming and outgoing mail servers
    In the Incoming and Outgoing Usernames window, type your full email address your suggestions@calwisp.com in both places. All lower case
    In the "Account Name" window, choose an account name or accept the default (which is your email address). Click the Next button
    Enter your email password and check the "Use password manager to remember this password" box.
    Finally, the "Congratulations" window summarizes your account information
    Verify all your settings. Uncheck “Download messages now” if you want your existing messages to remain on the server
    Click the Finish button
    Go to Tools and click on Account Settings
    Click on your new account on the left hand side of Account settings to "fine-tune" your settings.
    If you click on Outgoing Server and Edit, User name and password should be checked and set to your username as your full email address
